Great Western STP Funding Success

 “We are delighted by the news that we’ve been successful in our bid for national funds to support us in expanding much needed hospital capacity.

 “This news follows a bid we made to the Department of Health earlier this summer for £30m to support the expansion of the Emergency Department and the purchase of the expansion land next to the hospital to develop other services,” said Chief Executive Nerissa Vaughan.

Tavistock and Portman

The Tavistock and Portman NHSFT has appointed Rubicon to write a business case for the redevelopment or reprovision of the foundation trust’s Tavistock Centre.  The work will run through to February.

Hertfordshire business cases

Our work on Hertfordshire Partnership’s business case for investment in seclusion facilities has ended and the trust have now asked Rubicon to support a second business case concerning outpatient facilities.

Somerset Health & Care Strategy – Community Settings of Care

Rubicon is providing support to colleagues in the Somerset STP to develop new models of care to facilitate more people being treated out of acute hospital settings.  The project is focused on understanding how admission rates and length of stay can be reduce so the system is less reliant upon the two local acute hospitals, and will inform the pattern of provision of community, primary care and social care services in neighbourhood teams and Somerset’s community hospitals.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ outline business case modelling

We are pleased to announce that Rubicon has been asked by Guy’s and St Thomas’ to work-up the economic and financial cases required to support the FT’s business case for a joint venture with King’s College.

Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust business case

Rubicon has been appointed as a sub-contractor to our partners Medical Architecture, to write a business case for Hertfordshire Partnership Trust for investment in the trust’s mental health estate.

St Ann’s business case

Our client Barnet, Enfield & Haringey MH Trust received final approvals today for the St Ann’s development to go ahead.  The trust is now working with its contractors to mobilise with enabling work starting in November.  The main building work will start in early 2019 and is due to complete in late 2020.  Today marks the end of a business planning process that has been running for over ten years!

Launceston Medical Practice

Rubicon has just completed the economic appraisal required for an ETTF bid on behalf of Launceston Medical Practice.  The work was turned around within 48 hours in order to ensure that the whole bid could be submitted on time.

West Dorset mental health feasibility study

Rubicon has been appointed by Dorset Healthcare to produce a feasibility study into the potential to develop mental health services in new sites in West Dorset.  Our work will be undertaken with Medical Architecture.

ETTF bids completed

Bids for capital funding from the ETTF have been completed for two GP practices in Sussex.
