We have continued our work for NHSE reviewing OBC and FBC bids for ETTF funding from several CCGs. Over the December to January period Rubicon consultants completed seven reviews, the reports on which form part of NHSE’s investment assessment process.
Shortly before Christmas, Rubicon completed its our first piece of work for Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust following an introduction from a former colleague. The project was a short business case for new car parking at the trust’s two main hospital sites, necessitated by ongoing activity growth at the Maidstone and Pembury sites. Both investments were approved by the trust board in December and will be delivered by the end of March 2020.
Rubicon’s work with Surrey and Borders continues with the recent approval of a investment case to create a satellite hub for the trust’s community services, in the Spelthorne area of Surrey. The satellite will complement the community hub opened by the trust in 2018 and which Rubicon had provided business writer support for,
We have recently completed a refresh of this trust’s estate strategy working alongside WT Partnership. This recently merged large acute trust needed a new estate strategy to reflect its emerging clinical and corporate strategy which in turn, reflects opportunities arising from the merger. We had previously worked on phase one of the strategy in 2018 and delivered phase two over summer 2019.
Rubicon has been appointed by Barnet, Enfield and Haringey to work with the trust to develop a business case for a programme of investment across the trust’s inpatient estate. The work will complete in January 2020.
Working with our partners from Tricordant, we are about to start developing several business cases for West Kent CCG. The business case will build upon the work we did in 2018 and will set out plans to deliver between three and five community hubs across the west of Kent.
Rubicon has started work with Derbyshire Healthcare NHSFT to develop the trust’s strategy for its estate for the next 5 to 10 years. The trust provides mental health services from over 60 sites across Derbyshire and has appointed Rubicon based on our extensive experience of developing estate strategies for mental health and community based providers.
Rubicon is working with partners from WT Partnership to review EETF funding bids on behalf of NHSE and is separately working on ETTF bids for a GP in Hastings and for Greenwich CCG.
